By using our service platform, you “agree,” to indicate your acceptance, using any other method of acknowledgment provided through the Nahshii Health platform, or otherwise affirmatively accepting this consent, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this consent. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service. If someone is accepting these terms on your behalf, you confirm that they are authorized to do so.

Background

Nahshii Health (“Nahshii,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a digital mental health and wellness companion that integrates agentic artificial intelligence (“AI”) with licensed clinicians, Psychiatrists, and wellness professionals to deliver accessible, culturally responsive, and evidence-informed care. Nahshii Health provides therapy and mental health support through a secure, technology-enabled telehealth platform that allows for text, voice, and video interactions.

Nahshii Health is independently operated and partners with licensed mental health professionals, wellness advisors, and healthcare organizations to provide virtual therapy, coaching, and emotional wellness services. Nahshii Health itself does not provide medical diagnosis or emergency services and is not a substitute for in-person psychiatric or crisis intervention care.

Our services are designed to support mental wellness, emotional regulation, and self-improvement through interactive conversations with AI therapy agents and, when appropriate, with licensed clinicians. These digital tools use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Adlerian Therapy, Family Systems Therapy,  Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Social Learning Therapy, and mindfulness practices.

Use of AI and Telehealth

Informed Consent to Treatment

Nahshii Health uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to deliver care through AI-assisted and human-guided telehealth interactions. Our AI therapy companions provide educational and therapeutic exercises, reflective dialogue, and mood support using structured, evidence-informed frameworks. Licensed clinicians and mental health professionals may also provide therapy and counseling through telehealth sessions via audio, video, or messaging.

Telehealth may be used for evaluation, counseling, treatment planning, and follow-up care. This includes the electronic transmission of personal health information, including medical records, questionnaires, and communications through secure text or video interactions. You understand that Nahshii Health’s AI components are not human beings and cannot provide a diagnosis, prescribe medication, or intervene in emergencies. All licensed care is provided by human clinicians through the telehealth system.

Anticipated Benefits

 The use of Nahshii Health’s AI-assisted telehealth companions offer a number of benefits, including more convenient and flexible access to care, the ability to receive support from the comfort of your home or other private settings, and culturally relevant wellness guidance. Nahshii’s AI companions are designed to help users practice coping skills, build self-awareness, and strengthen emotional resilience between therapy sessions.

Engaging with the Nahshii Health companion—whether through AI-guided sessions or live telehealth counseling—may support improved mood, stress reduction, and greater self-understanding. The platform is also designed to make accessing mental health support easier for those who face barriers to traditional in-person therapy, including geographic, cultural, or financial limitations.

Potential Risks and Limitations

While Nahshii Health’s services offer flexible, supportive, and innovative care, there are limitations and potential risks associated with both telehealth and AI-assisted support.
You understand that:

  • Nahshii Health’s AI companions are not human clinicians and cannot provide medical or psychiatric diagnoses, prescribe medication, or intervene in emergencies.
  • Interactions with AI companions may not always perfectly reflect emotional nuance, and certain responses may not be suitable for all individuals.
  • Technology-based services may occasionally experience interruptions, including software bugs, connectivity issues, or hardware malfunctions, which could disrupt communication or access to services.

Informed Consent to Treatment

  • Telehealth sessions limit the provider’s ability to perform in-person assessments or observe certain clinical indicators that might influence diagnosis or treatment.
  • Your human provider may not have access to your complete medical or mental health history at the time of service, which could impact treatment recommendations or the identification of contraindications.
  • Participation in mental health treatment, whether AI-assisted or human-guided, may sometimes elicit uncomfortable emotions as part of the therapeutic process.

Nahshii Health will work with you to ensure that telehealth and AI tools are appropriate for your needs and to recommend in-person care or referral when necessary.

Life-Threatening and Emergency Situations

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or believe you are in danger of harming yourself or others, do not use Nahshii Health. Immediately call 911 or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Nahshii Health is not a crisis service and does not provide immediate or emergency response. Messages sent through the Nahshii platform may not be reviewed immediately. If you require urgent care, you must seek assistance from an emergency contact, local emergency services, a hospital emergency department, or a crisis hotline. If you experience a technical failure preventing communication through the platform, please seek emergency assistance through the methods listed above.

Data Privacy and Protection

Nahshii Health uses industry-standard encryption and network security protocols to protect the privacy and security of your data. All communication between you and the platform is secured using HIPAA-compliant technology. Nahshii Health’s systems are designed to safeguard against unauthorized access, data loss, or corruption.

Personal information that identifies you, including your Protected Health Information (PHI), is de-identified and will not be shared with third parties without your consent except as required by law. This includes situations where there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult, or if there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others.

While Nahshii Health takes all reasonable steps to maintain confidentiality, you understand that certain forms of electronic communication (such as personal email providers or unsecured Wi-Fi networks) are outside Nahshii’s control and may pose additional risks to data privacy.

By accepting this consent, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this document. You voluntarily consent to participate in services delivered by Nahshii Health, which may include AI-assisted companion tools, telehealth counseling, or both. You understand that:

  • Nahshii Health’s AI tools supplement, but do not replace a human clinician.
  • Licensed clinicians providing care through Nahshii are independently credentialed professionals responsible for your clinical treatment.
  • You have been informed of the potential benefits, risks, and limitations of telehealth and AI-assisted support.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by providing written notice to Nahshii Health or discontinuing use of the platform.
  • Withdrawal of consent will not affect care that has already been provided or documented prior to withdrawal.

You confirm that you have had the opportunity to ask questions and that you understand how telehealth and AI-supported services function as part of Nahshii Health’s model of care. You also acknowledge that Nahshii Health does not guarantee specific clinical outcomes and that results may vary depending on individual circumstances.
